The Wall of BS

The Wall of BS

10meat industry truths they hoped you wouldn't notice.Bruh.

This isn't a panic wall. It's a receipts wall. Every card links to where the number came from, most of them USDA's own reports. Question everything, including us. Then come meet the cows.

4 packers run the show

Cattle crowded in a commercial feedlot

The four biggest meatpackers buy about 85% of the steers and heifers slaughtered in the U.S.

We're one family. Your money stays on a ranch, not in a quarterly report.

Receipt: USDA ERS

2

"Natural" doesn't mean pasture-raised

On meat, USDA's "natural" means no artificial ingredients or added color, minimally processed. It says nothing about how the animal lived.

Grass-fed, grass-finished beef. Every other animal on pasture. Come look.

Receipt: USDA FSIS labeling terms

3

"Product of USA" wasn't what you thought

Only since January 1, 2026 does the claim have to mean born, raised, slaughtered and processed here. And it's still voluntary.

Raised on our pasture. Processed nearby, one animal at a time.

Receipt: USDA FSIS

4

1 lb of grocery ground beef?

Raw ground beef

Researchers found meat from 411 to 1,367 animals in commercial ground beef batches.

One animal per share. Single origin, never co-mingled.

Receipt: PLOS ONE study

5

USDA inspected isn't zero risk

A historic meatpacking plant cooler

Sept 2026: 167,639 lb of raw pork, beef and goat recalled for fake USDA inspection labels. Inspection matters. So do handling, sanitation and knowing who touched it.

Your rancher is a food safety educator and inspector. We hold our own work to that standard.

Receipt: USA Today on the FSIS recall

6

The beef cow herd is tight

Beef cattle

28.5 million beef cows in the U.S. on July 1, 2026, down 1% from last year.

We plan every animal ahead. Reserve early and your spot is held.

Receipt: USDA NASS

7

The calf crop is down too

The 2026 calf crop is expected at 32.5 million head, down 2%.

Small herd, honest numbers. We tell you when we're full.

Receipt: USDA NASS Cattle report

8

Yes, we import beef

A container port

USDA forecasts about 6.1 billion pounds of beef imports in 2026. Demand doesn't wait for the herd.

Ours was raised here in North Carolina. We can tell you which pasture.

Receipt: USDA ERS outlook, Aug 2026

9

Recalls aren't theoretical

USDA posts meat and poultry recalls and public health alerts all year long. Go look at this year's list.

Every share traces back to one animal and one processing date.

"Know your farmer" isn't a cute slogan

April Rivas with her goats

It's traceability. It's somebody who answers when you ask where your food came from.

Ask us anything. Pick up at the ranch and see for yourself.

Receipt: that's us, meet April

Buy direct. Buck the BS.
Bruh. When you shop straight from the ranch, you skip a whole lot of this mess.

This is for you if…

  • You read the label, then read the fine print, then look it up.
  • You don't take anybody's word for it. Not a logo's, not an agency's, not ours. You want receipts.
  • You believe everybody deserves good food and dignity, including the people who raise it, pack it and cook it.
  • You'd rather make a move than wait around for somebody to fix it.

Jump. We're the net.
Real cattle. Real food. Fewer lies.
